Four Minute Mile to get another repress

added by Andy Malcolm on Friday October 31 2008 in New Releases

Doghouse have finally wised up to the fact that whiney emo champions, the Get Up Kids, only made one good LP, and that people still want it. Four Minute Mile is due a repress on some kind of colour that nobody should care about, and it's due 9th December, this year. How about that!

Devil's Blood release "Come Reap"

added by Alex Deller on Friday October 31 2008 in New Releases

Following their highly praised “Graveyard Shuffle” 7”, The Devil’s Blood continue to gain a following for their cult through their creation of a signature brand of ‘60/’70s inspired horror soul Satanic psych-rock, musically mirroring an aesthetic portrayed by such classic acts as Roky Erickson, Blue Cheer, Jefferson Airplane, Led Zeppelin, Coven, Black Widow, and Budgie.

Lurking within the 30-minute mark “Come, Reap” is a lavish portrayal of an immaculate and luminous vision created by damned souls in celebration of chaos, filth, and mire, a overall celebration of life, death, sex, and decay. A band vastly superior to the other hordes of acts dabbling within this genre of revival vintage-age rock n’ roll, The Devil’s Blood remain a cult unseen; the gnashing of teeth in the dead of night.
